Tarté Receives Early Advisor Award

Rodrigo Tarte, Animal Science, Iowa State UniversityRodrigo Tarté, assistant professor in animal science, is the recipient of the Early Advisor Award from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. Tarté advises approximately 50 undergraduate students each year and is known for going above and beyond for his advisees, being welcoming and inclusive and making them feel a part of the Iowa State community. He believes in being flexible and adaptable, treating each advisee as an individual. He provides more than just course advisement and degree guidance, but career mentorship and life skill development, as well. 

In addition to his advising responsibilities, Tarté teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and conducts research in processed meats.
