Kevin Hansen (horticulture - turfgrass management) loves two things – sports and grass. So with the opportunity to study turf management at Iowa State, he knew he found his place. Kevin started working with the team who manages the turf in Jack Trice Stadium and it led him to the mother of all grasses.
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Career Services offers assistance with resumes and interview practice as well as the largest agriculture college career fair to help students find internships and full-time positions that fit their interests.
Kevin was selected to intern on the turf crew at Super Bowl XLVII where he prepared the fields and practice fields, and painted logos, not to mention sitting on the sidelines during the biggest game of the year. With that experience under his belt, he was asked to do an internship in London preparing the Wembley Stadium's field of natural grass for NFL exhibition games. Sports and grass, Kevin's greatest passions combined in two unforgettable internships.
