Flexibility is the key to success

Justin Saenz

As long as he could remember, Justin Saenz (agriculture and society) wanted to protect and care for animals.  So when it came time for college, he chose Iowa State because if its strong pre-vet program. But it wasn’t until he took a class in agriculture and society that he found he had a passion for public policy and inspiring others.

That’s a key advantage of being in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. We have a wealth of majors in a variety of fields. So students can find their true calling and do not have to change colleges or start over.

Justin landed an amazing internship with a U.S. congressman. And he learned that showing young students how to pursue their dreams in agriculture was his passion. He is now an Extension Agent in Youth Development in Texas, pursuing his dream.
