December 18th, 2008
AMES, Iowa "“ Health and wellness are topics often at the forefront of people's minds, especially near the beginning of a new year. Research at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University includes diverse projects affecting human health from improving the nutritional value of beef, to the health benefits of soy, to finding clues to preventing human aging and disease through cellular research.
Articles on several projects focusing on human health as well as profiles of alumni, faculty and students are included in the college's recent alumni magazine, STORIES and are now available to the media for publication. A pdf of STORIES is available online at: http://www.ag.iastate.edu/stories.
