College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Job Fair Set for Feb. 3

AMES, Iowa — The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University will host its third annual spring Ag Career Day Feb. 3. The job fair will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Great Hall of Iowa State's Memorial Union. Mike Gaul, director of the college's Career Services, expects about 90 companies /organizations to participate. Those planning to take part can be found online. He said several were not at the fall Ag Career Day. "Despite the economic conditions and a very aggressive fall recruitment period, we are thrilled to have this number of diverse organizations join us for Ag Career Day," Gaul said. "The event should also serve as a positive reinforcement to our students that great opportunities exist within the agriculture and life sciences sectors." The Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow club is hosting a chili lunch for recruiters, faculty and students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Curtiss Hall rotunda.
