Ag Career Day Oct. 24, Largest in More than a Decade

AMES, Iowa — Iowa State University's annual Agriculture Career Day has been filled to capacity with recruiting employers three weeks from the event on Oct. 24.

The largest agricultural career fair in the nation will have 154 companies at 160 booths recruiting students for jobs and internships. Mike Gaul, Agriculture Career Services director, said it was the largest turnout of employers in more than 10 years.

?This is one of the strongest job markets ever for College of Agriculture students and I truly hope that students embrace these opportunities.? Gaul said. ?The event is the unofficial 'kick off' for the fall recruitment season. Nearly 40 interview schedules will be offered on the day after the event.?

The career fair will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Great Hall, Campanile and Regency rooms at Iowa State's Memorial Union.
