2007 ISU Animal Industry Report Available on CD-ROM, Online

AMES, Iowa - The fourth annual Animal Industry Report, which summarizes all animal research done at Iowa State University, is available online and on CD-ROM. "The research covers topics such as improving production efficiencies, environmental quality, animal product quality and food safety," said Maynard Hogberg, chair of the Iowa State animal science department. "These all are important aspects of keeping animal agriculture strong and viable, and contributing to Iowa's economy and quality of life." A variety of professionals conducted the research for this report, including ISU faculty, staff and graduate students; visiting scholars; ISU Extension county and field staff; and collaborators from other universities and professors. "The report combines reports from researchers on campus and in the state, including research that relates to the beef, dairy, poultry, sheep, goat and swine industries in Iowa," Hogberg said. "This year's report is organized by species and also has sections on animal products, the environment and companion animals." This report is available online.
