VEISHEA is this weekend. Here's a sampling of VEISHEA events planned by College of Agriculture student groups.

PIE IN THE FACE RETURNS
Alpha Zeta invites VEISHEA participants to fling a pie in a faculty member’s or research associate’s face. Its Pie in the Face event will be from 9:30 a.m.-12: 30 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Alpha Zeta tent on central campus in front of Curtiss, behind Cy's Big Top. It costs $1 for one throw or $3 for five throws. The line up:
9:30 a.m. – Lee Burras, agronomy
10 a.m. – Craig Dilley, horticulture, and Joe Colletti, natural resource ecology and management
10:30 a.m. – Robert Hubert, microbiology, and George Brant, animal science
11 a.m. – Randy Killorn, agronomy
11:30 a.m. – Colin Scanes, animal science

HORTICULTURE CLUB PLANT SALE INCLUDES VEGETABLE PLANTS
The Horticulture Club’s annual and perennial bedding plant sale is planned for today, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, in the horticulture greenhouse. Many different types of perennials and annuals, geraniums and some vegetables will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

HORT AND TURF CLUBS COMBINE DISPLAY
The Hort Club and the Turf Club will host an open house from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday in Horticulture Hall. The open house will include a turf equipment display, mini-golf, a landscape display and a variety of interactive activities.

MECHANICAL BULL AND MULCH RODEO CLUB ACTIVITIES
The Rodeo Club will be selling rides on its mechanical bull Saturday in front of Lagomarcino Hall. As another fundraiser, it is selling mulch, and will have order forms available at VEISHEA. The club will deliver free, if four or more bags are ordered. Order forms also are available at its website. Club members will be participating in the parade, a couple on horseback and others riding in a pickup.

FARM OP CLUB SERVING AT LITTLE RED BARN
The Farm Operations Club will be serving food from its Little Red Barn food stand north of Beardshear Hall from noon – 3 p.m. today, April 11, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Pork patties, hot dogs, brats and the club’s famous turkey tenders are on the menu.

BUFFALO BRATS AT FISHERIES & WILDLIFE BIOLOGY CLUB STAND
The Fisheries & Wildlife Biology Club will be serving at its annual VEISHEA food stand today and Saturday, April 11 and 12. The stand will be located directly north of McKay Hall and items on the menu include buffalo brats, grilled chicken breasts, hot dogs, nachos, beans, chips and soda. The club also will have an informational stand south of Catt Hall with activities and the club history.

BUY A SEEDLING AND GET A DISCOUNT
The Forestry Club will be selling tree seedlings near the Fisheries & Wildlife Biology (FWB) Club’s stand on Saturday, April 12. Those purchasing seedlings may get 50 cents off entrees and meals at FWB's food stand.

AGRONOMY CLUB SPONSORS FOOD STAND AND TRACTOR PULL FOR CHILDREN
The Agronomy Undergraduate Club will be serving at its food stand today and Saturday, April 11 and 12. It is located on the south side of Science 1 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and all day Saturday. The club’s Kiddy Tractor Pull starts after Saturday’s parade. Sign up for the tractor pull is during and immediately after the parade. It will begin when the parade is past Stange Road. Kids compete in classes based on weight:
