SCIENCE WITH PRACTICE STUDENTS PRESENT POSTERS WEDNESDAY
A Science with Practice will present posters on their projects from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the Sun Room, Memorial Union. Science with Practice students are undergraduates in agriculture who work closely with faculty and staff on specific projects and/or work assignments while earning money and academic credit. UGANDAN PERSPECTIVES TOPIC OF SEMINAR

INTERNATIONAL JOBS ADDED TO GLOBAL AG PROGRAMS SITE
The Global Agriculture Programs (GAP) web site has added nongovernmental organizations (NGO) to its listing of international job opportunities. For example, a recent job announcement advertised for a food security and agricultural development specialist by the Presbyterian Community of Congo (http://onedoor.pcusa.org/(r3y5ah45a4tobe55gp52gvfg)/user/pages/jobsearch_position_description.aspx?position_id=20040108). ALUM NAMED AAAS FELLOW
Alumna Karen Kuenzel Moldenhauer was recently named a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Moldenhauer, the University of Arkansas Rice Industry Chair for Variety Development, joined the faculty of the university in 1982. She works at the Rice Research and Extension Center near Stuttgart and was selected as a fellow in the academy section on agriculture, food and renewable resources. Moldenhauer earned a doctorate in plant breeding from Iowa State in 1975. (The Morning News, Springdale, Ark., Dec. 2)

ETHANOL PRODUCTION IMPACTS STUDY AVAILABLE FROM EXTENSION
The rapid expansion of Iowa's ethanol industry has changed corn marketing to include more local processing than in the past. A new study outlines challenges for ethanol plants in terms of storage of grain, the quality of stored grain and availability of corn if all proposed plants in Iowa are constructed.
