Students encouraged to submit poster abstracts for Borlaug poster competition

The Norman Borlaug Lectureship Poster Competition for Graduate and Undergraduate Students will take place Oct. 17. Students are encouraged to submit poster abstracts for the competition by Sept. 26.

Poster abstracts are now being accepted for the 19th Annual Norman Borlaug Lectureship Poster Competition for Graduate and Undergraduate Students. The competition and display of posters will take place Monday, Oct. 17, in the Memorial Union at Iowa State University, prior to the Norman Borlaug Lecture featuring 2022 World Food Prize Laureate Cynthia Rosenzweig.

The submitted poster abstracts should describe work in the general area of world issues. Students selected to present their posters at the Borlaug Poster Competition will be notified via email by Oct. 7.

Winners of the poster competition will be announced immediately following the Borlaug Lecture.

To submit a poster abstract, complete the Qualtrics survey, accessed by scanning the QR code or using this link, by Monday, Sept. 26, at 11:59 p.m.

The Borlaug Poster Competition is coordinated by Iowa State’s Nutrition Sciences Council. Prizes of $200, $150 and $100 for both undergraduate and graduate student competitions are made possible with funds provided by the Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Human Sciences and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
