AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is excited to host its annual, on-campus career day on Oct. 11.

The in-person event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lied Recreation Center, 518 Beach Road in Ames. It is open to the public, as well as Iowa State students and alumni. There is no virtual event planned for this year.

“Given the current labor market, it’s no surprise to see the robust interest in college career fairs this fall recruitment season. For jobseekers, this is about as good as it gets,” said Mike Gaul, associate director of career services at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

The Agriculture and Life Sciences Career Day has so far attracted 262 organizations and is on track to be one of the college’s largest fairs ever. Career Day is the official kick-off to the recruitment season and many companies will remain on campus for interviews Oct. 12 and Oct. 13.

The CALS Career Day remains the largest career fair of its kind in the country. A list of the organizations participating can be found on the CALS Career Services webpage.
