
AMES, Iowa - Iowa State University student, Malcolm Smith, has been selected to attend the 2015 USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum.
The forum titled “Smart Agriculture in the 21st Century,” will be held Feb. 19-20 in Arlington, Virginia. Only 30 students were selected from more than 100 universities that participated nationwide.
Smith, a Chicago native, is a junior at Iowa State with majors in global resource systems and public service and administration in agriculture.
“This is an opportunity to learn about agribusiness, the latest research in agriculture and future trends, as well as, policy in contemporary agriculture,” Smith said.
The forum began in 2007 as a way to bring students into the discussion about agricultural policy, scientific research and future trends.
