
Jennifer McGill, administrative assistant in natural resource ecology and management, is the recipient of the staff 2026 Early Achievement Award from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. She demonstrates reliability, initiative and innovation in her work, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Her creative problem-solving, commitment to sustainability and proactive professional development highlight her dedication to continuous improvement.
McGill also serves as administrative assistant to the U.S. Geological Survey's Iowa Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, which is housed in NREM. She quickly distinguished herself by improving the administrative systems in creative and lasting ways. She also developed a new database for tracking projects and grants, transforming the annual reporting into a more accurate and efficient process.
