Malcolm Robertson joined Iowa State University at the end of 2004. In early 2006 he moved to the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture where he became the Program Manager for both the systems agriculture program (Cross Cutting Initiative) and the ecological research program (Ecology Initiative). When the Leopold Center was closed in 2017, Malcolm joined the Iowa Nutrient Research Center as the grants program coordinator.
While at the Leopold Center, Malcolm worked on local food issues, water quality issues as well as sustainable practices for Iowa’s agricultural sector. Malcolm was also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Horticulture (2010-2013) where he developed and lectured a Horticultural Entrepreneur course for senior and graduate level students.
