Managing lakes for harmful algal blooms in the face of climate change - Are we running to stay in place?  
Presenter: Grace Wilkinson, assistant professor, Iowa State University 

This talk will explore the how the processes that drive harmful algal blooms in lakes are changing, particularly here in the Midwest, and how to respond to these challenges to maintain lake ecosystem services. 

About the presenter: Grace Wilkinson is an assistant professor in the departments of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology and Natural Resource Ecology and Management at Iowa State University. She received her PhD from the University of Virginia in 2015 and joined the faculty at Iowa State in January 2017. Currently, she oversees two long-term water quality monitoring programs in Iowa: the Ambient Lake Monitoring Program and the Des Moines River Water Quality Network.
