Committment to Global Health
Iowa State University recognizes the impact of global health and is committed to providing resources in the classroom and beyond to contribute to public well-being. Opportunities begin with students in the Global Health minor, Global Resource Systems major, or other health related majors and expand to research and service within our centers and partner programs.
In the Classroom

Global Health Minor
The Global Health minor is a transdisciplinary program designed for students who seek a broad and flexible set of skills for understanding contemporary health challenges and broad-based thinking in finding solutions.

Global Resource Systems Major
The interdisciplinary Global Resource Systems major prepares you to address critical global health challenges through leadership positions in international health organizations, multinational healthcare companies, government health agencies, and globally engaged foundations.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine - Master of Public Health Program
(DVM-MPH) This combined degree program is the result of the collaboration between faculty at Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Iowa, College of Public Health.
