College to honor graduates Saturday

College Convocation to Honor Spring and Summer Graduates



Faculty and staff are invited to recognize graduating seniors at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences convocation Saturday, May 5, in C.Y. Stephens Auditorium. Doors open at 8 a.m. for a reception. The convocation program begins at 9 a.m.

Adair Boysen, who will earn a bachelor’s degree in animal science and agriculture and life sciences education with a communication option, will speak to fellow graduates and guests during the convocation program. Dean Wendy Wintersteen also will speak.

The Ag and Life Sciences Student Council will present awards to the following graduates: Mariko Peterson, biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology, for academic achievement; Nicole Benzoni, microbiology, for distinguished service; Scott Henry, agricultural business, for outstanding ambassador of agriculture; Amy Peyton, agricultural business, for leadership excellence; and Darrin Rahn, agricultural business, for outstanding senior.

Sam Bird, who will receive a bachelor’s degree in economics and global resource systems, is the college’s student marshal and will represent the college at university commencement.
