Forestry vs. Civil Engineering in Tug-of-War
A Tug-of-War tradition continued this year on central campus despite winds and rain. Students from the Forestry Club took on the civil engineering students and won hands-down. The tradition was revived last year after forestry students found a double-bit axe trophy and asked faculty about its meaning. The inscription on the axe indicated that the competition was held from 1959 to 1967. On April 15 the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences shared Veishea sponsorship on central campus with the College of Engineering.
