Iowa State’s Department of Agricultural Education and Studies ranked fifth in a study of the top 10 ag education programs in the nation.
The paper titled “Characteristics of Distinguished Programs of Agricultural Education” by Ohio State University professors Robert Birkenholz and Jon Simonsen was part of the American Association for Agricultural Education conference proceedings. The ranking was based on a survey of respondents from the 82 agricultural education programs in the United States.
The distinguishing characteristics of the Iowa State department’s program were faculty, graduate program and international emphasis.
