CALS Research Day

Join us for an afternoon celebrating the innovative research of undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

CALS Research Day features engaging poster presentations, showcases finalists from the 10th Annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, and wraps up with a social hour and awards ceremony. This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and recognize the outstanding work happening across CALS!

All members of the university community — students, faculty, staff, and guests — are welcome to attend.


Tentative Schedule

  • 1:00 – 1:15 PM – Opening Remarks
  • 1:15 – 2:15 PM – Poster Presentations
  • 2:15 – 2:30 PM – Break
  • 2:30 – 3:30 PM – Poster Presentations
  • 3:30 – 3:50 PM – CALS 10th Annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Finalists
  • 3:50 – 4:00 PM – Closing Remarks
  • 4:00 – 5:00 PM – Light Snacks (hors d'oeuvres), Socializing, and Awards Announcement (4:30 PM)

Showcase your research and connect with the CALS community! We invite graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs to submit posters for CALS Research Day. This is your chance to showcase your hard work, spark meaningful conversations, and gain recognition for your innovative ideas. Whether your research is in progress or complete, your contribution matters—let your work inspire others and highlight the impact of CALS research. 

Already have a poster from another event? You’re welcome to reuse it for CALS Graduate Student Research Day! We love seeing your research shine—whether it’s brand new or already celebrated elsewhere!

Volunteer as a Judge for CALS Research Day

We are seeking faculty, staff, and postdoctoral scholars to serve as judges for the upcoming CALS Research Day. Judges will review poster PDFs prior to the event to evaluate research content and will assess presentation skills during the live sessions. Your expertise is invaluable in providing constructive feedback to our graduate students.
