Apply to be a CALS Ambassador

Applications to become a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Ambassador have closed for the academic year.  The CALS Ambassadors are a student group dedicated to the promotion of the college and recruitment of future students to our over 20+ majors. Ambassadors help with recruitment events and activities including but not limited to: Experience Iowa State Days, daily visits, high school and community college classroom visits, and the Iowa State FFA Leadership Conference.

Because CALS Ambassadors represent the College at a variety of functions, we seek students with high levels of professionalism and enthusiasm for Iowa State University. For more detailed information about what it means to be an Ambassador, see our expectations.

Applications are closed for the 2025-2026 academic year. The next application cycle should open in September 2026.

On the application, please be prepared to answer a variety of questions, including about experiences in leadership and communication, and submit a resume.  Note that applications do not save and should be completed in one sitting.
