Seed Science Center Workshops and Conference Feb. 16-18

The 26th Annual Seed Technology Conference will be held Feb. 17 at the Scheman Building. The conference, Output Traits Developed for Corn and Soybeans, is sponsored by the Iowa State University Seed Science Center. The conference, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will feature the latest value-added output traits in corn and soybeans. Speakers will include professionals in marketing, breeding and crop production. On Feb. 16, a workshop, All About ISO - is ISO-9001 Right For You?, will be held before the conference at the Seed Science Center on the Iowa State campus. The workshop will focus on the ISO 9001 system, a grain quality assurance program, and its relationship to the seed industry. The workshop is limited to 24 people. The registration cost is $75 before Feb. 9 and $100 after that date. On Feb. 18, the Seed-Applied Insecticide Workshop, will focus on various chemical combinations and equipment that effect the performance of the insecticide system. The session limit is 24 people.
