Registration Opens for 2014 Entrepreneurial Agribusiness Executive Conference

AMES, Iowa –– Registration is open for the 2014 Entrepreneurship Agribusiness Executive Conference, which is hosted by Iowa State University’s Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative.

The conference is designed to promote discussions on issues related to leadership and strategic innovation in agribusiness.

“Today’s agribusiness executives must be entrepreneurial to pursue opportunities, incubate innovation, develop new resources and ultimately push their organizations forward,” said Kevin Kimle, Rastetter Chair of Entrepreneurship and the director of the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative. “There are significant challenges and opportunities facing the agriculture and food industry. The Entrepreneurial Agribusiness Executive Conference will provide a unique forum for assessing emerging trends and issues facing agribusinesses.”

Speakers will include Terry Jones, founder and former chief executive officer and president of Travelocity.com; Jeff Stamp, founder and chief storyteller at Bold Thinking; and Dave McDonald, president and chief operating officer at OSI Group, LLC.

Conference organizers hope to push entrepreneurial boundaries and encourage a constructive dialogue on strategic innovation in agribusiness.

The conference will be held Feb. 18 and 19 at the Gateway Hotel and Convention Center in Ames. A discount of $100 is available for attendees who register on or before Nov. 15.
