Beginning Farmers Conference to be held at Iowa State Feb. 6

AMES, Iowa - The Beginning Farmers Network at Iowa State University will host the fifth annual Beginning Farmers Conference on Feb. 6 at the Memorial Union on the Iowa State campus. Craig Lang, president of the Iowa Farm Bureau Association, will share his outlook on challenges facing agriculture in the next 20 years as part of the conference's keynote address. The event will feature breakout sessions on a variety of topics including tax management, government programs for beginning farmers and expanding and maintaining farm operations. Participants will have time to network with experts and other beginning farmers throughout the day. Registration is $45.
