Learning, earning credits and getting paid are what make the Science With Practice program at Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences a success. The program started 10 years ago as an idea to help students with college costs. Now almost 500 students have gone through the program and gained more than financial aid. The program is an experiential learning and work program for undergraduate students.

This summer Adam Grimm joined an elite group of athletes. On July 24 he swam the 23 mile solo swim across the English Channel in 12.5 hours. Since 1875, just over 1,300 swimmers have successfully made this solo crossing.
